A Tradition of Craftsmanship
House of Troy was founded in Montreal, Canada in 1947. It started as a small custom lamp manufacturing company selling to gift and department stores in the area. In 1960 the company began to specialize in picture lights. Around 1962 the business moved to North Troy, Vermont, hence the name House of Troy.
The hand-craftsmanship involved in building House of Troy picture lights has changed very little the past seventy years. Each Vermont made picture lights is hand rolled, soldered, buffed and assembled by our employees. In addition, each employee checks the quality to ensure that only the finest lights are shipped to our valued customers throughout the world.
